Symantec researcher Liam O Murchu demonstrates how a Stuxnet infected programmable logic controller (PLC) by Siemens can instruct a piece of machinery to run out of control. After being infected, the pump bursts to applause from the audience of virus researchers gathered at the annual Virus Bulletin conference in Vancouver, Canada. The video shows the PLC running a pump that was programmed to lightly inflate a balloon with confetti filled confetti to burst to an audience of Virus Bulletin researchers.
