A gas explosion caused sections of the Pasta de Conchos mines roof to cave in early Sunday morning. Rescue crews have tunneled through about 500 yards of rock and other debris to reach some of the trapped workers. The incident comes less than a week after a Kentucky coal worker was killed in a mining accident.
