The Five Eyes alliance (New Zealand, Australia, Canada, UK and U.S.) allegedly launched a takedown-level cyber attack and large-scale industrial espionage against Russias biggest search engine and web services company, Yandex. The attack occurred between October 2018 to November 2018, the data breach includes information about the company’s research and development efforts at that time. No one from the five eyes alliance claimed credit for the attack, but it is generally understood that the month-long infiltration incident came as a form of retaliation against the United States.”]
