Account takeover fraud (ATO) attacks are on the rise, up nearly 300 percent since last year. Federal prosecutors say they have have extradited one of the leaders of an international crime ring accused of hacking in to bank card processor RBS WorldPay and stealing more than $9.4m in a 12-hour period. A new variant of the Citadel banking malware was discovered, this one delivering localized content for European targets that include not only banks but major ecommerce sites such as Amazon.
