Ransomware Hits Garage of Canadian Domain Registration Authority

The parking garage used by employees of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) allowed people to park for free after computer systems were infected by ransomware. CIRA is a not-for-profit organization that manages the.CA country code top-level domain (ccTLD) CIRA represents the Canadian domains internationally. The garage is operated by private company Precise ParkLink, so the attack is confined to its systems. There is no free decryption tool for Dharma ransomware for the time being, however, keeping regular backups in a safe place ensures a quick restore.
