Ransomware hit Guilderland Central School District near Albany

The Guilderland Central School District near Albany was hit by a ransomware attack that encrypted information on some of its systems. School District officials confirmed on its website that it was the victim of a malware attack. School districts continue to be a privileged target of the Conti ransomware gang, a few weeks ago hackers breached Floridas Broward County Public Schools and demanded a $40 million ransom. At the time of this writing, it is not clear if threat actors have stolen personnel or student data.”]
