Microsoft has released an emergency patch for the PrintNightmare bug that was revealed in the Windows Print Spooler just over a week ago. Early reports suggest that the patch doesnt protect against all aspects of the bug, and that it may be possible to bypass the patch entirely, depending on the version of Windows involved and the printer configuration on the targeted computer. The patch is what Redmond refers to as an OOB Security Update, where OOB is short for out-of-band.”]
