I allow my kids their privacy. I don’t spy on their conversations in real life. I’m also not going to read their e-mail or break into their facebook. Instead, I opt for teaching my kids how to make good decisions on their own. I feel like trust is something you have until you lose it, not something you don’t get until you earn it. The smart thing to do is assume that the parents of the person you are texting are reading your messages. I also teach my kids respect and how to be good net (and real world) citizens.”]
