PHP 5.3.10 Fixes Critical Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

The PHP Group released PHP 5.3.10 on Thursday to address a critical security flaw. The vulnerability is identified as CVE-2012-0830 and can be exploited in a so-called hash collision attack. The error was accidentally introduced while fixing a separate denial-of-service vulnerability in early January. Web servers administrators are advised to upgrade to the latest version of the Web development platform to avoid an attack on older versions of the software. The likelihood of attacks targeting the vulnerability is high, experts say.”]
