Phoenix Hostage Standoff Ends in Peace

Arizona resident George L. Curran, 42, has surrendered, CNN reports. He allegedly held up to nine people hostage in a downtown Phoenix high-rise on Thursday. Curran allegedly entered a National Labor Relations Board office building around 5:30 EST and dragged a secretary into a hearing room where a hearing was underway. Because the building is on federal property, the Federal Bureau of Investigation was involved, the building was evacuated and the area cordoned off. The suspect has been identified as Arizona resident Curran.”]
