Unemployed D Sakthi Kumar says he was threatened by bank officials and beaten up by police investigators. Claims he was offered a job as a ‘payment officer’ for money which he would then move to another account. He says he received an email from a company offering him the job of payment officer out of the blue. Police are now investigating Kumars claims of intimidation and brutality, as well as whether he was an innocent party caught in the midst of a phishing scam or simply someone who saw an opportunity to make easy money.”]
