Philips Reports Its Own Device For Nine Security Vulnerabilities

Philips e-Alert Unit is a medical device that monitors the performance of MRI machines. It is not a device in itself but it alerts when key parameters on MRI machines are amiss. One of the nine security flaws affects versions R2.1 and earlier of the product. In June, Philips released an update that eliminated some of the problems, including the hardcoded credentials, but the company plans to address the other issues in a new version by the end of the year. The vulnerabilities are as follows:Improper input validation (CVE-2018-8850)
