Oxford University launches Cyber Security Centre to tackle cyber crime. The centre is dedicated to preventing the spread of cyber crime in the UK. Personal information stored on computers is at high risk to be targeted by criminals. It is hoped the centre will be able to detect and prevent cyber crime from happening in the future. The Centre is supported by over 12 academic staff, and in excess of 25 staff members, and 18 staff members of the University of Oxford’s cyber security team. It aims to prevent cyber-crime in Britain from happening again.
