Over 200 College Campus Stores Infected with Card Stealing Scripts

Magecart Group 12 hacked hundreds of U.S. and Canadian online campus stores with a payment card skimming script. Magecart attacks are used as part of a supply chain attack. The skimmer script got injected on April 14 within payment checkout libraries used by PrismWeb-powered online stores. The amount of payment information that was stolen is still unknown. The company behind the PrismWeb e-commerce platform, PrismRBS, also issued an official statement after receiving Trend Micro’s disclosure report.
