About 40 IT employees at Molina Healthcare Inc. were laid off early last year. The layoffs came amid rising tensions over the expanding role of an offshore IT contractor. 18 of them filed a lawsuit in California state court against Molina, its CIO at the time and its outsourcing contractor, Cognizant Technology Solutions.
