Magecart Group 12, a faction of the Magecart threat group, has been linked to a recent digital card skimmer attack bent on stealing payment data from a slew of websites. Magecart uses scripts injected into websites to steal payment data that s entered into online payment forms on e-commerce websites directly or through compromised third-party suppliers used by these sites. The same skimming code was used to target emergency preparedness sites; BePrepared.com, which sells survival kits and gear, and Augason Farms.com.
