Security researchers eEye and Determina released what they termed a “temporary patch” to a critical IE vulnerability. This is interesting to me because it underscores a conundrum faced by CSO’s and CIO’s — do you choose to apply a non-official patch from someone other than the vendor so you are protected, or do you wait for the fully-tested and “blessed” patch from the vendor even though you know you will have more days of exposure?”]
