Obama Said to Be Again Close to Naming Cybersecurity Chief

White House cybersecurity coordinator has not been announced since May. Frank Kramer, Howard Schmidt and Frank Kramer are in the running for the post, a report says. Obama announced the creation of the role in May. The delay has killed some of the early enthusiasm that surrounded the announcement. Lawmakers have been trying to wrest the post from the White House, including two senators. Some have expressed concern about the role undercutting the role of the Department of Homeland Security in national cybersecurity matters, and being outside the purview of congressional oversight.”]
