Nvidia adds Windows 10 2004 GPU scheduling to GeForce drivers

Nvidia has released the GeForce Game Ready driver version 451.48 and with it comes highly anticipated support for DirectX 12 support. With this release, users of Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs can now use Microsoft’s new DirectX 12 Ultimate graphics API that includes ray tracing, variable rate shading, mesh shading, and sampler feedback technologies. Users can also enable a new setting introduced in Windows 10 2004, the May 2020 Update, called Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. This feature allows the GPU to manage its memory rather than relying on the operating system to do it.
