$9.9 million in federal funds for cybersecurity research at Vermont university. The money will be used to help groups in the private and public sector defend against cyber attacks. In 2009, the school received $7.7 million in funding for a similar program. The funding is part of the Homeland Security National Training Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Institute of Technology (NUARI) The money is expected to be used for about a dozen more projects.
