New site tries to free China’s Twitter-like Sina Weibo from censorship

FreeWeibo allows users to make uncensored searches on microblogging site Sina Weibo in China. The site is already blocked by Chinese authorities after only a month online. Site is gaining traction and has more than a thousand visitors per day, the majority of which come from China. Site’s creator says he sees a disturbing trend in China’s online censorship system as more and more censorship is becoming more widespread, especially in the country’s social networking site, SinaWeibo.
