New Linux Malware ‘HiddenWasp’ Borrows from Mirai, Azazel

HiddenWasp is unique for Linux-based malware in that it targets systems to remotely control them. Malware is believed to be used as part of a second-stage attack against already-compromised systems. The malware is still active and has a zero-detection rate in all major anti-virus systems Malware was found by Nacho Sanmillan as undetected files on VirusTotal in April 2019. Researchers have provided a YARA rule intended to be run against in-memory artifacts in order to be able to detect these implants.
