Ubiquiti is a popular networking device maker best known for its UniFi line of wired and wireless network products and a cloud management platform. An attacker hacked their systems hosted at a third-party cloud provider and may have exposed customers’ data. Ubquiti says they are not aware of any customer databases that were illegally accessed but cannot be sure that the attack did not expose customer data. It is not known if this is related to the weekend’s outage to their UniFi cloud platform that prevented users from using the web and mobile apps.
