N.Y. Port Authority Wires Airport Perimeters

Four New York area airports will soon be connected by a surveillance system that will monitor their perimeters. Raytheon has been hired by the Port Authority, which operates John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International and Teterboro airports in New York and New Jersey. The $102 million system will be able to detect an attempt to intrude the perimeter of any one of the four airports from one location in the port authoritys police headquarters. The system will take about two years to install.”]
