More than 50% of workers stealing data when they leave jobs

Tens of millions of people have lost their jobs in recent months, and a huge number of them are taking proprieatry company data with them when they leave. The Ponemon Institute study shows that almost 60 percent of people who leave or are fired from a job are swiping information. Nearly half of all bandwidth within corporate environments is being consumed by personal applications such as YouTube, peer-to-peer filesharing and various other consumer applications. 2 percent admitted all they d want in return for data theft was a slap up meal.
