Millennium Hotels & Resorts Warns of Potential POS Breach at 14 Locations

Hospitality chain Millennium Hotels & Resorts North America is warning customers that malware may have affected food and beverage point-of-sale systems at 14 of its U.S. locations. The hotel chain’s POS provider reached out to inform MHR it had found malicious code on certain legacy systems, including the same type of terminals deployed at some of its locations. As of this writing, forensic experts have yet to find any trace of malware on the company’s POS systems. The breach did not affect other POS locations, unlike the incidents at Hyatt Hotels and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
