Microsofts HIP: What Do Internet Security and Cats Have in Common?

Microsoft TechFest 2007 was the first time the event was open to the public Tuesday. Microsoft Research demonstrated technologies that may one day turn up in Microsoft products. Technology asks users to identify photos of cats to ensure that humans, not scripts, are accessing certain websites. Technology developed by Microsoft Research will likely wind up in Windows Live Search. TechFest attendees say Microsoft’s open-door policy lets outsiders get a glimpse of corporate culture, one attendee says, “The joke is that if youre in the bay bay bay area, you wont be able to joke in that area””]
