Microsoft Yanks Buggy Windows Server Updates

Microsoft has yanked the Windows Server updates it issued on Patch Tuesday. The updates have been breaking Windows, causing spontaneous boot loops on Windows domain controllers. They also break Hyper-V and render ReFS volume systems unavailable. Microsoft confirmed that its aware of the reports and is investigating. The January 2022 updates are no longer available via Windows Update. Experts say organizations need to apply security patches when they’re available, not wait for them to fix bugs. The company hasn’t pulled the Windows 10 and Windows 11 cumulative updates that were breaking VPN connections.”]
