Microsoft: Worm Operator Worked at Antivirus Firm Krebs on Security

Andrey N. Sabelnikov, 31, is accused of operating the Kelihos botnet, a global spam machine that Microsoft dismantled last year. Microsoft says he worked as a software engineer and project manager at a Russian antivirus firm from 2005 to 2007. A source close to the investigation told Krebs On Security that a security researcher obtained a copy of the source code to the botnet. The researcher noticed that the source contained debug code that downloaded a malware installer from the domain sabelnikov.net.”]
