Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) will reach beta this fall, Microsoft’s chief operating officer says. IE9 will run on Windows Vista and Windows 7, but not on Windows XP, the nearly-nine-year-old operating system. Microsoft has declined to name a release schedule for the final build of IE9. Most pundits now believe Microsoft won’t wrap up IE9 until 2011. The browser is expected to be released in September 2011, Microsoft has not said when the beta will be open to users.”]
