Microsoft patch Tuesday focuses solely on Windows

The January 2015 edition of Microsoft Patch Tuesday does not contain a fix for the Microsoft Explorer browser. Instead, the company issues fixes for the desktop or server editions of its Windows operating system. One of the vulnerabilities marked as having a critical severity rating is found in the Telnet protocol, used to provide terminal connections to remote computers. For the first time, Microsoft has declined to send out advance notices about upcoming patches for the company’s next Patch Tuesday, which occurs on the second Tuesday each month.”]
