Microsoft Discovers Iranian Hacking Campaign Targeting U.S. Politics

A state-sponsored group known for targeting U.S. government officials and journalists has targeted over 2,700 of its accounts. The group is known for trying to get access to accounts belonging to government officials in Iran and other countries. Microsoft has issued over 800,000 warnings to those affected by the group over the past year. The warning is not the first time the group has targeted accounts in the U.K. has targeted U.N. officials or journalists in the way of changing their passwords.
