Microsoft announced the addition of Insider Risk Management to its Microsoft 365 cloud services platform designed to detect and investigate insider security threats within organizations. Microsoft is also working on including a new tenant-wide idle session timeout feature for Microsoft 365 web apps, a feature that should prevent information exposure stemming from unauthorized access to systems left unattended. Microsoft also announced the. addition of the Conditional Access capability to Microsoft 365 Business in June, to make it simpler for small and medium-sized businesses to control access to company assets conditionally based on user, location, device, data, or app access.
