An exploit published by a developer is easy to use and has already been used to build malicious apps that gain root access on Android devices. The exploit works on virtually all of MediaTek s 64-bit chips, developers said, translating to millions of devices. In its March 2020 Android Security Bulletin, Google also addressed a high-severity bug (CVE-2020-0032) in the Android media framework, which could enable remote code execution within the context of a privileged process.
