MIT student Zack Anderson was one of three MIT students who discovered flaws in the Massachusetts transit system’s fare card system. He says he and his peers were surprised by the MBTA’s response to their findings. The incident rekindled debate over whether flaws should be publically disclosed before the affected vendor has a chance to fix them.
