Match.com screens for creeps: Good luck!

Match.com has announced it will screen its customers against the national sex offender registry. A California woman filed a lawsuit claiming a man she met on the dating site sexually assaulted her after their second date. The suit says the alleged attack could have been prevented if the site had checked users’ names against public sex offender registries. It’s unclear whether the site will screen existing members as well, but it’s not clear if it will do so.
