Massive Surge in Use of Linux XorDdos Malware Reported

XorDdos is a Linux Trojan that can be used to carry out distributed denial-of-service attacks. Malware is known for using Secure Shell brute force attacks to gain remote control of target devices. XorDDos is part of the trend of malware increasingly targeting Linux-based operating systems. Microsoft says it mitigated a 2.4 Tbps DDoS attack in August 2021 in Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, China and the U.S., but the attack traffic did not reach the targeted client’s location.”]
