MangaDex Site Offline Following Hacking Incident

MangaDex, the online repository of manga animation comics, will be closed until further notice following a hacking incident. A cyberattacker had gained access to an administrative account and the site’s version-three source code. MangaDex plans to take the time it needs to complete a site re-write that will be based on version five of the code. The site has invited ethical hackers to help find the security vulnerabilities claimed by the attacker in the codebase, along with any other flaws. Volunteers have already identified a good number of bugs, the site said.
