Major Cyberattacks On Healthcare Grew 63% In 2016

93 major cyberattacks hit healthcare organizations this year, up from 57 in 2015, new research shows. Despite the rise in attacks, the number of records breached dropped to about 12,057,759. Hackers are now responsible for 31% of all major HIPAA data breaches, a 300% increase over the past three years.
