ASP.NET hosting provider SmarterASP.NET was hit yesterday by ransomware attack. The company has more than 440,000 customers. The attack encrypted customer data and the companys website was not reachable on Saturday. It is unclear if the company decided to pay the ransom, or if it is restoring data using its backups.
