MacForums.com, HotScripts.com and WebHostingTalk.com have been compromised and their databases are now being sold on the Darknet. Penton Technology acquired the three websites in 2015 as part of the purchase of iNET Interactive. If you have an account on one of these websites, you should change your password. It’s possible that many of the ransom victims have been recycling their Apple ID credentials on other websites such as LinkedIn, or more recently Mac-Forums or Hot Scripts.”]
