Experts from Kaspersky Lab confirmed that the Lurk cybercrime Gang developed, maintained and rent the infamous Angler Exploit Kit. The Angler exploit kit disappeared from the exploit landscape after the arrest of suspects in June. Authorities accused the suspects of stealing around $45 million USD from Russian financial institutions by using Lurk banking trojan. The cybercrime group also offered for rent the Angler EK that after the arrests of the suspects disappeared from exploit landscape. The experts also provided an estimate of the cost for Lurk infrastructure that reached tens of thousands of dollars per month.”]
