Eddie Raymond Tipton, the security director of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) tampered with the lottery software to remove the random number part of choosing the winning ticket. He was convicted in July 2015, and sentenced to 10 years in prison last week. The charges went back to December 2010, when prosecutors argued that he tampered the software. The judge wasnt buying that argument, not least because his job was specifically to protect the lottery from fraudsters and cheats.”]
