Advocacy groups sued the Executive Office of the President over millions of missing e-mails. The National Security Archive and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics sued the White House in 2007. More than 22 million e-mail records have been recovered and more are likely waiting to be found. The White House will investigate records from an additional 94 days. The settlement also requires a publicly releasable letter “describing in as much detail” White House computer systems, including its e mail, archiving and backup systems.”]
