Lightning strike more likely than mobile malware

Just 9,688 phones in the U.S. showed signs of active infection, according to mobile security vendor Damballa. That’s a rate of 0.0064 percent, compared to 0.008 percent for lightning. The lifetime odds of being struck by lightning are 25 percent higher, the National Weather Service says.
