Kickstarter breached change your passwords

Hackers gained unauthorised access to Kickstarter’s customer data earlier this week. Hackers accessed usernames, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers and password hashes. Users urged to change their passwords immediately. Kickstarter also urged users who use their passwords on other websites to change passwords on those sites too. Users can draw some comfort from the fact that their passwords were hashed rather than encrypted, as Kickstarter indicated in its first statement. The website was informed about the breach on 12 February 2014 and users had to wait four more days to find out for themselves.”]
