Kaboxer is a tool to help penetration testers use older applications that don’t work on modern operating systems. The tool is short for ‘Kali Applications Boxer’ and packages apps in Docker containers. The team behind the Kali Linux distro has already ‘Kaboxed’ several apps, including Firefox Developer Edition and Zenmap. The only downside is that the containerized apps are larger than they generally are, and won’t be included in Kali’s default installation.
