IT departments flying blind when it comes to mobile security

Survey finds 78 percent of CIOs don’t know what devices are connected to the corporate network. Only 56 percent said they would be able to secure a device that has been lost or stolen. 77 percent of companies do not know what data is on these mobile devices, with a third admitting that they are not able to track data on devices that the company itself has issued. Blackberry maker RIM believes IT departments should embrace consumerisation of mobile devices to help reduce costs of the business.”]
