French-language TV network TV5Monde was hit by a crippling cyberattack Wednesday. The attack happened at around 10 p.m. Central European Time and involved the hijacking of its website and social media accounts. The same group that calls itself the Cyber Caliphate also hijacked Twitter accounts of Newsweek, the International Business Times and the U.S. Central Command earlier this year.
