Investigating Business eMail Compromise and Ransomware

Los Angeles County’s District Attorney’s Office is cracking down on cyber crime. Head of the department’s cybercrime division, Maria Ramirez, is speaking at ISMG’s San Francisco Fraud and Breach Prevention Summit. She supervises 11 attorneys and 19 investigators, and oversees the investigation of identity theft, credit card fraud, computer intrusions and child exploitation over the internet. In 2015, Ramirez received the California District Attorney Investigator’s Association’s award for her work in cybercrime prosecutions. She discusses how to work with law enforcement and how to involve them in cyber crime cases.”]
